Re: Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

MetalMan Design/Build Corporation is committed to non-discrimination in employment. Any person who applies for a job with this company will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, gender, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin.

Very often, yours is the responsibility for filling job vacancies. Attention should be given to the fair and equal treatment of all people with no consideration being given for one’s age, race, ethnic background, sex or religious beliefs. Personnel decisions should be based on demonstrated skills, promotional potential, education and experience.

When contacting employment sources, ask for minority and female referrals, ask your employment sources to do a vigorous job of recruiting for minority and females, and explain the company’s reason for doing so.

In addition, please keep a list of all walk-in applicants, which includes the person’s name, address, phone number and particular craft. It is the duty of each supervisor to exert every care in being fair in the administration of this policy.

Should the occasion arise and we need to advertize in the newspapers for help, please request that at the bottom of the advertisement the “Equal Opportunity Employer” block is added. Advertisements must conform to the company’s EEO policies and should be approved by the EEO officer prior to listing. The Corporate Office must originate all advertisements.

Attached to this correspondence is the company’s statement of policy regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. A copy of this statement should be posted at all job sites.

Should you have any questions concerning the above, please contact me.
